* The optional mounting legs will raise the unit 1 1/2" high over the top of the tank, and the legs can expand to fit 2.5" longer than the unit itself. In other words, this 24" unit can be mounted on a 26.5" long tank, with the mounting legs installed.

1) Aqualights produce heat and should NOT be placed inside canopies that are not well ventilated. Many canopies have an open back that allows air to flow through the canopy. Check to see if cool air flows through the canopy. If cool air does not flow through, or the canopy is against a wall or completely enclosed, a fan must be installed in the canopy to move cool air through the canopy while the Aqualight is in operation. Failure to install a fan under these conditions can result in unit failure.

3) Do not remove high-heat silicon retaining bands from the lamp clips. These bands are designed to withstand high heat and hold lamps securely in place during operation.
