Q. Some of my bulbs seem to be dark at the ends, is this used?
A. Some bulbs have a slightly darker end to them when they arrive from the factory. Sometimes when you test a bulb (we light all bulbs before they are shipped), it will have a slightly dark end. There is nothing wrong with the bulb, and the phosphors inside remain perfectly useable.
Q. I plugged in my new Coralife bulbs, and noticed a slight flicker / “strobing” effect at the ends, is this defective?
A. It depends. There can be many causes to that type of “strobing” effect. Most of the time, it occurs on new ballasts, and will go away after a few days. If it persists, then it could be a number of things, such as a bad ballast, or incorrect ballast. Give us a call at 877-995-2677 if it doesn't go away after a few days, and we'll do our best to help you out!
