FAQ
Q. Do I have to use Coralife bulbs in these units, or will HelloLights bulbs fit?
A. HelloLights' bulbs will work just fine in these fixtures. This will allow you to select from a greater range of bulbs to run in your tank, and allow you to customize the light to fit your tank needs.

IMPORTANT: Prior to Installation:
A) Do not plug the ballast into electrical outlets until the compact fluorescent lamp(s) has/have been properly installed.
B) If canopy is less than 1 inch thick, add additional spacers.
CAUTION:
Do not allow unit to come into direct contact with water.
Installation:
A) Peel off protective film from the reflector.
B) Place reflector on underside of canopy.
C) Insert metal spacers between the canopy and reflector. Align holes on reflector with the spacers.
D) Insert (4) wood screws through the reflector and the spacers. Screw into the canopy.
E) Gently insert lamps into endcaps until fully seated.
F) Carefully mount lamp into the lamp clips. Make sure that the lamp cord is facing the angled edge of the reflector.
G) Fasten high-heat silicon retaining bands onto the lamp clips.
Note: These bands are designed to withstand high heat and hold lamp securely in place.
H) Plug endcap cord into ballast adapter cord.
Canopy Installation Note:
This fixture is for use over covered aquariums only. Aqualights produce heat and should NOT be placed inside canopies that are not well ventilated. Many canopies have an open back that allows air to flow through the canopy. Check to see if cool air flows through the canopy. If cool air does not flow through, or the canopy is against a wall or completely enclosed, a fan must be installed in the canopy to move cool air through the canopy while the Aqualight is in operation. Failure to install a fan under these conditions can result in unit failure.

Do not remove high-heat silicon retaining bands from the lamp clips. These bands are designed to withstand high heat and hold lamps securely in place during operation.
