* 2 fans built into this unit! The fans are positioned on the top of the fixture (blowing upward), not on the sides. Please note: there are 4 holes on the fixture, but only 2 have fans in them, the other 2 have fan screens only.

* The optional mounting legs will raise the unit 1 1/2" high over the top of the tank, and the legs can expand to fit 2.5" longer than the unit itself. In other words, this 48" unit can be mounted on a 50.5" long tank, with the mounting legs installed.
* The mounting legs can fit tanks smaller than the unit's length, since they mount in a channel that runs the entire length of the fixture.

Additional Bulbs
* Due to request, we've added an extra option to select popular Hellolights brand bulbs. (You will get the Coralife bulb in the unit no matter what.)
* Note: Some HelloLights bulbs may be marked "55W", but they will operate at 65W in the Coralife fixture. The ballast determines the wattage of the bulb when it comes of 55W/65W CF bulbs.
FAQ
Q. Do I have to use Coralife bulbs in these units, or will HelloLights bulbs fit?
A. HelloLights' bulbs will work just fine in these fixtures. Just make sure you order the correct wattage and pin style (straight or square). This will allow you to select from a greater range of bulbs to run in your tank, and allow you to customize the light to fit your tank needs.
Info from Coralife:
1) Aqualights produce heat and should NOT be placed inside canopies that are not well ventilated. Many canopies have an open back that allows air to flow through the canopy. Check to see if cool air flows through the canopy. If cool air does not flow through, or the canopy is against a wall or completely enclosed, a fan must be installed in the canopy to move cool air through the canopy while the Aqualight is in operation. Failure to install a fan under these conditions can result in unit failure.
2) 1 year warranty from date of purchase. Please print out and retain a copy of your confirmation email from HelloLights once you purchase this item. ALL warranty work is taken care of by Energy Savers Unlimited (Coralife). Please contact them at 800-678-8844.
3) Do not remove high-heat silicon retaining bands from the lamp clips. These bands are designed to withstand high heat and hold lamps securely in place during operation.
