* The Actinic 03 phosphors in the Coralife Actinic lamps produce the majority of their light in the 400 to 490 nanometer (blue) range.
* Use of this lighting to condition the aquarium before and after the day-light cycle will reduce animal stress.
* Additionally, many marine invertebrates have evolved to depend on blue light, the wavelength which most readily penetrates the water.
* Supplementing with Coralife Actinic lamps ensures that corals and anemones get the light required for survival.
* T12 1.5" diameter bulb (standard shop lights are T12).
* Note: On a rare occasion, bulbs are shipped to us without their outer bulb sleeve. If you must have the factory sleeve with the bulb, please note it in the "Comments" section on page 2 of the order check out. This may delay your order if we're out of bulbs with sleeves. Q. I plugged in my new Coralife bulbs, and noticed a slight flicker strobing effect at the ends, is this defective?
A. It depends. There can be many causes to that type of strobing effect. Most of the time, it occurs on new ballasts, and will go away after a few days. If it persists, then it could be a number of things, such as a bad ballast, or incorrect ballast. Give us a call at 877-995-2677 if it doesn't go away after a few days, and we'll do our best to help you out!
