Finally, a 72" Build your own Retrofit Kit!
(Note: Picture is of a 48", 2 MH + VHO unit.)
* Here is your chance to customize a retrofit kit to your liking.
* A $9.95 assembly charge applies to this kit, but you will see that most selectable items are cheaper than if you purchased them individually from the website.
* For a detailed description of any componant, please locate them on our site.
* The metal halide ballasts are "raw" and will need to be wired by a qualified electrician.
* The electronic ARO Model 4L VHO ballast available as an option, and it will run up to 440 watts or 16 feet of total bulb length.
* Ballasts with ANSI Codes "M137", "M138" and "M135" are Pulse Start ballasts, and we recommend that you use them according to the following:
M137 = 175W Ushio 10,000K
M138 = 250W Radium 20,000K
M135 = 400W Radium 20,000K OR 400W Ushio 10,000K
* ANSI codes M57, M58 and M59 are "Probe Start" ballasts, and are fine for all the other bulbs listed in the drop down.
Please note: The MH ballasts will need to be wired by you. We do NOT provide any wiring diagrams, as they are located on the ballasts themselves. VHO and CF ballasts are completely wired, and you just have to insert the bulbs. Some assembly is required with these kits, they are not "plug-n-play".
Notes:
1) The 72" Polished Aluminum Mirror Reflectors (rectangular shape) are 70" long, 10" wide, and 2" tall (taller when you add bulbs to them, and has a 70 1/2" length if you add VHO to the system
).
2) Select the metal halide ballast(s) / wattage(s) that you want. (power cords are included in the price). The 3rd Metal Halide is optional, and recommended if you need lots of light on your system.
3) Select the correct metal halide bulb(s) for the ballast chosen. (be sure to double check that you have selected the correct wattage for the ballast chosen)
4) Choose an ARO Model 4L VHO or ARO CF 96W ballasts, if needed.
5) Pick the VHO or CF bulb(s) you need.
6) Pick fan(s) if needed.
Note: For "3 Day Select", "2nd Day" or "Next Day Air" on this OVERWEIGHT item, you will be charged additional shipping costs.
