Shipping Policy

Please call us if you have a specific question about shipping, or need your items on a specific day. Some items we special order from our suppliers, and this can delay shipping from our warehouse by up to 5 business days. We ship Monday through Friday, less Holidays. In stock orders placed M-F before 2:00PM Pacific Time will ship out the same day! Orders placed after that time will ship the next business day.

International, APO & PO Box Orders are no longer accepted.

Hellolights.com utilizes a flat rate shipping method based on your purchase total. Rates apply to continental U.S. ONLY!

FedEx shipping rates to Alaska and Hawaii are higher.

Oversize Shipping

Some items such as chillers, aquariums, water pumps, and large lighting fixtures have additional shipping charges per item. These items are marked with "Oversize Shipping" in the item description. . This will reduce the chances of order processing delays and you should also benefit from lower shipping costs.

Free Shipping on all Orders Over $175.00

We are offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $175.00 via FedEx or USPS, our choice. To receive FREE SHIPPING, you must order at least $175.00 worth of items and select the FREE SHIPPING option in the drop down during checkout.

Terms & Exclusions:

  • There are some items on our website that require an additional oversize/overweight charge. This charge gets added to the product price and cannot be removed
  • This offer is valid for retail customers only.
  • Only valid on order shipping within the Contiguous United Stated. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are subject to additional shipping charges.
  • Price matched or discounted orders do NOT qualify for our free shipping promotion.

Drop Ship Items

In some cases, we may ship an item(s) in your order separately from the manufacturer. It may be due to inventory stock levels, or that particular item may strictly be a drop-shipped item. All items will be shipped from the manufacturer via FedEx Ground at no extra charge, unless otherwise requested prior to submitting an order. All tracking information will be added to the customer's order once available, and it can be viewed online though your customer account.

Unlawful Use of Shippers Account

Under all circumstances, nobody is ever authorized to use our shipping account numbers. This is a fraudulent activity. This applies to not only packages shipped for personal purposes but also packages that are shipped to us. If packages need to be returned to us, please contact us for an RMA number and return shipping procedures.

Placing an Order

Placing an order at Hellolights.com is easy, secure, and safe. The two ways to place an order are:

  • Telephone: Our knowledgeable staff of aquarium lighting experts is on hand to answer your questions and accept your order when you are ready to make a purchase. You can reach our customer service team via telephone by dialing (888) 405-1817 Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM PST.

Order Confirmation

If you did not receive an order confirmation via email, even though you clicked the submit order button, we recommend that you contact us via email at support@hellolights.com or call us at (888) 405-1817 to make sure that we received your order.

Order Status

We will do everything possible to keep you informed of your order via email. Tracking numbers are sent via email once they are available. The emails are usually sent on the evening of your order ship date by FedEx. On the rare occasion that you do not receive this information, you may email us at support@hellolights.com or give us a call at (888) 405-1817 for your order status or tracking number. We will also contact you via email, unless noted otherwise, if there are any issues regarding your order.

Duplicate Orders

Call us immediately at 888-405-1817 to let us know of the issue. If we catch a duplicate order we will contact you before sending both orders to make sure it is not an accidental duplicate order.

Order Cancellation Policy

You can call or email to request an order cancel anytime before your item ships and we will make every effort to honor your request. If your order has already entered the shipment process, however, we may not be able to cancel it and it may ship despite your request. Please note Refused orders may be subject to an automatic 25% restocking fee plus return freight charge.

For canceled credit card orders, the payment authorization generally takes 24 hours to drop off your statement. If you still see an authorization amount on your statement after 24 hours of the order being canceled, give us a call so we can confirm with you that the authorization has been voided.

For canceled PayPal orders, it may take up to 24 hours for your refund post to your account. If you do not see a refund within 24 hours of canceling your order, contact us and we can take the proper steps to refund your payment.

For canceled Google Checkout orders, our payment system automatically issues a refund when and order gets canceled. If your order has been canceled, and you do not see a refund posted to your Google Checkout account, contact us so we can confirm the refund was submitted.

For all items that are shipped out to our customer and not received by our customer, we will refund only the price of the product minus shipping to the customer, return shipping from the customer, any additional charges from our carriers. No returns will be accepted for any merchandise that has been used. We do not sell any used merchandise as new, nor can we accept any back. FedEx will attempt to deliver packages three times. If a package is not delivered and returned, we will have to bill customer the for round trip shipping charges, FedEx imposed extra handling charges.

All of our prices are subject to change. All transactions and prices must be verified and approved by Hellolights.com. If the price is incorrect due to typo, error, misprint, Hellolights.com reserves the right to decline any order. Photographs associated with some products in our store are not necessarily exactly representative of the exact item they are associated with, but may be shown with additional products for display purposes, or may be a similar product that is displayed to convey a general theme of that product.

Tracking Numbers

Tracking numbers for each day's shipped orders are automatically emailed in the evening. You can also log-in to your Customer Account to view your order's tracking information. If you do not have a customer account, and you checked out as a "Guest" you canClick Here to view the status of your order.

Missing Items

Check the amount of tracking numbers you should have received. Sometimes Multiple Shipments will receive one master tracking number, in which you can see information for all packages. Verify you have received all boxes and checked all packing material for small items. Check your invoice to verify that the item missing is not on back-order. Hellolights.com will add a note on your invoice next to the item that is back-ordered to advise you of the back ordered item. 

Sometimes a package gets separated from its order and does not get scanned by FedEx right away. Either way, give it a week to see if all the items on your order arrive. If not, give us a call and we will start a package trace with FedEx for the lost package.

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving it. All damage claims will be filed with your carrier. We are more than happy to handle all claim procedures in this unlikely event. Please note that orders cannot be returned, canceled, or rejected due to shipping delays unless express service was requested at the time of ordering.
